PROCEDURE AND CONDITIONS Casamerina act as agent
1 If, before you make a provisional booking, you want to know in advance whether a particular holiday home is available, then you can do this by filling in the required details under the "Availability form" button, after which you will receive an answer within 24 hours. When you have chosen a holiday home, you can book it provisionally by calling up the web page with the booking form under the "Reservation form" button, filling in the form and then sending it to Casamerina by clicking on the "SEND" button. Print a copy of the confirmation page for yourself at the same time! The provisional booking will be confirmed by email, fax or telephone within a few hours - at most within 24 hours.
2 When we have confirmed your booking, you should make the payment of the deposit amount within next three days (so that the amount will be received by us within 1 workweek) by bank transfer or using Paypal. The details about our bank account are included in the booking confirmation-email (on request we can send the booking confirmation by fax). In case of to late payment we reserve the right to cancel the booking. However, in this case, we will contact you before.

For all payments a payment reference should be given consisting of holiday
home code, start and end date of your stay.
Because the payment reference makes extra checks
possible, an indication of it with every payment is in your own interest!
If the person which carries out the payment is not the same as the one who books, the name of the person who
booked should also be given. 4
When we have received your booking and the payment, the booking is
definitive and will be confirmed by Email. On request we can send it also
by post or fax. The confirmation sent to you should be shown
to the owner of the holiday home in order to get the keys at the beginning
of the rental period. 5 The 70% balance of the rent should be received at least 30 days before the beginning of the rental period. A reminder email will be send to you 10 days befor. A booking within 35 days before the start of the rental period should be paid in full. After you have received our confirmation of receipt you should, within three days, make the payment of the rental amount. In case of to late payment we reserve the right to cancel the booking. A booking within 10 days before the start of the rental period, should be paid in full on the day of booking or the first workingday after. In urgent cases it is also possible to fax/email us a legible legal payment advice. 6
With late payments, when it makes cancellation necessary, for
payments without a name or in another name than that given on the
registration form when this requires investigation, for changes in bookings, for return of overpayments, and
similar situations, €.20 extra administration costs will be added, which
you can avoid by keeping to the booking and payment suggestions. 7 The rents are given individually and apply for a period of a week running from Saturday to Saturday. On request agreement may be granted to start and end the rental period on a day other than Saturday. Usually the holiday homes in July/August are only rented from Saturday to Saturday, other months flexible. Prices for shorter periods than a week on request. 8 The maximum number of persons given by us in the Booking Confirmation includes children and adults and is not to be exceeded under any circumstances. This also holds true for short-term accommodations for additional persons in the house, garden or property. It is possible to change the maximum number of persons permitted if discussed in advance and upon acceptation/confirmation of Casamerina.

On top of the rental amount no other reservation costs are charged.
Additional
costs are paid to the landlord directly, they are mentioned on the internet page of each
holiday home in Casamerina's website. In the rental price is included
-
unless otherwise stated: - consumption of water, electricity and gas; - weekly change of bed linen/bath-towels (it is advisable to bring some extra towels with you); - use of garden, swimming pool, tennis court, garden chairs, parking, etc.; - the costs of final cleaning; - taxes. - the owners have the right to ask you for a guarantee deposit on arrival (mentioned on the internet page of the holiday home). The renter is responsible for damages caused by him/her and the other occupants. Any damages must be reported and paid for prior to departure. If you gave a security deposit, any damages will be deducted from it. If there are no damages, you will receive back the entire security deposit prior to departure. Please treat your vacation home and its furnishings with respect. On departure, the Tenant need to leave the holiday house in a descent state – meaning: leave the house cleanly swept. The things present inside the holiday house needs to replace in its original place (as on arrival). Dinner sets needs to be washed and packed away at its original place. The Owner/Manager will observe whether (several) things have not been placed in its original place or if the holiday house has been cleanly swept, if not, the Owner/Manager is entitled to charge the Tenant extra (cleaning) costs. 10 On cancellation by fax or telephone with written confirmation to Casamerina earlier than 30 days before the start of the rental period, all money will be returned except 30% of the rental sum. For cancellation within 30 days no repayment will take place. This rule also applies to cases of acts of God due to sickness etc. Casamerina themselves offer no trip cancellation insurance. If you want to buy a cancellation insurance take contact with your own bank/insurance company. Many insurance companies give also the possibility to buy online a trip cancellation insurance.

You can retrieve the keys on the first day between 3
pm and 8
pm
(if not otherwise agreed).
We
will send you the exact schedule of keys withdrawal together with the
booking confirmation. If the tenant arrives after 8:00 pm, please call the
contact person. On the last day you should leave the holiday home before 10 am. 12 On request we let you know if house animals are allowed in the requested property.

If a definitively booked and paid holiday home is not available
due to an act of God, you can choose between a holiday home equivalent in
value or repayment of the rental amount. We accept no other responsibilities. 14
Complaints about faults with the holiday homes are only acted on if they
are comunicated within 48 hours after arrival at the holiday address, so
that the Owner/Manager will endeavour to solve the complaint immediately
on the spot. In case the established complaint cannot be solved on the
spot by the Owner/Manager, then the Tenant need to report the complaint
within 48 hours
to Casamerina still providing us the possibility to solve the problem on
the spot. Absence of noise (traffic noise,
barking dogs, noise due to work and industry, noise from other apartments
etc) cannot be guaranteed.

We accept no responsibility for any damage to persons or property
of tenants as a consequence of faults in the rented holiday homes. 16 Casamerina intends to fully comply with the directives and instructions issued by the Authority for the Protection of Personal Data Privacy. Personal data acquired through the website Casamerina are collected and handled for the sole purpose of processing your booking. Therefore, we do not rent or sell customer information to third parties. This includes your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, and any information related to your transactions with us. For further information see Article 7 of Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003, concerning your rights with respect to data processing. |
