An old oil-mill dating back to 1800 was restored according to its original, local architectural style and converted into a villa rented for holidays. The entire outer surface is covered with stone, thus enwrapping the Villa's majestic, imposing structure in a magical, enchanting, rural atmosphere of times gone by. The villa's panoramic position undoubtedly recalls its origins, as it is extremely easy to reach and is immersed in olive groves stretching right up the hill. In fact, the villa lies on the border between the gentle Tuscan landscape and the green countryside of Umbria; on the top of the mountain in the background stands an impressive castle and a splendid view of the Trasimeno lake and the Chiana Valley stretches out in the foreground. There are two separate buildings on the estate: the master villa and the small adjacent dependance. In the garden a 15x7 meter pool and 4 mountain bikes are available to the guests. In the months of July & August it is only possible to rent the whole property (villa and dependance, 5 bedrooms/10 bed places + extra bed + 2 double sofa beds). In the other months it is also possible to rent only the main villa (4 bedrooms/8 bed places + extra bed + double sofa bed). It is an ideal point of departure to visit Tuscany and Umbria. From the property in only 20 minutes driving you are on the highway Rome-Florence and in only 10 minutes on the speedway Siena-Perugia. Shops are available in the town of Terontola 2,5 Kms from the villa. Nearest golf clubs: Golf Club Valdichiana (9 holes situated near Foiana della Chiana), Golf Club Lamborghini (9 holes situated near Panicale), Golf Club Antognolla (18 holes situated near Perugia), Circolo del Golf di Perugia (18 holes situated near Perugia). |
